This post isn't about anything in particular, just a few snaps of what I've been up to in Tokyo (mainly eating food and shopping) as my trip to Japan is coming to an end. I can't believe I've been in Japan for 2 months already. You know the saying, time flies when you're having fun. I'm so fortunate to have a family and friend base in such a beautiful country. Over these past two months I've really come to appreciate my other 'half' (for those who don't know, I'm half Japanese) and have had a wonderful time exploring Japan. Thanks to everyone who has made my trip so far, so enjoyable.
P.S. I apologise in advance for the oncoming stream of fisheye photos. I just received a fisheye lense I ordered for my camera and it's proving to be very fun to play with. Sorry if it gets obsessive!
The view from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku. The 360 panoramic view is breathtaking, allowing you to comprehend the extensive size of Tokyo. Buildings and skyscrapers disappear into the horizon...
We hired bikes and rode around Yoyogi Park (a giant park near Shibuya). It was very "なつかしい" (nostalgic) for me as I used to go there nearly every Sunday with my dad when we lived in Tokyo.
This photo doesn't do this meal justice. Emma had the ramen and mini teriyaki chicken donburi set (top two bowls), and I had a set including mackerel, rice, miso, tofu, salad and otsukemono (picked radish). It was delicious!
Emma and I at the infamous Shibuya crossing.
