Day one in Istanbul went something like this:
The most amazing view from our hotel balcony in Aksaray (sneaky mosque at the end of our street).
Sehzade Mosque (son of Süleymaniye).
We'd gotten quite hungry by this point so we found a little restaurant nearby and ordered a meaty pide, salad and tzatiki-like dip with bread (Turkish people love their dairy products, especially yoghurt). We were seated on the street with cars, motorcycles and people zooming past.
