Day 12: Pamukkale

We were up at 5:30am in order to take a bus to Fethiye then Denizli, to finally arrive at Pamukkale at 3pm.

We got off the bus at the top entrance and walked throughout the ancient Roman town Hierapolis.

The ruins date back to 200bc.

2kms later, we arrived at the top part of the travertines of Pamukkale.

We had plenty of time to kill before our bus back so we decided to walk up a huge hill to the ancient Roman theatre.

..before walking down the travertines back towards the town, taking plenty of photos along the way.

Seeing this world heritage site at sunset was a great way to finish off our time in Turkey. 

We took an overnight bus that evening, to meet our ferry in Marmaris, that would take us to our next destination, Greece!
