We decided to hire kayaks from Monterosso and paddled from there to Vernazza (the next Cinque Terre village).

Later that afternoon, Pia and I took the train to Genoa.
Wasting time in La Spezia while waiting for our train.
We arrived at Genoa in the late afternoon and were met by our next couchsurfing host, Gianluca.
He was so kind and accommodating and had made a 3 course Genoan home made meal upon our arrival! Farinata (a chickpea thin pancake), pesto pasta (pesto originated from Genoa!) and delicious tiramisu for dessert! It was so delicious, we had a great time with Gianluca and his friend Andrea.
