Sapporo

Solo day trip...

Leaving Niseko at 7:30AM, I took the train to Sapporo to have a day of sightseeing while dad did some work in Niseko. I spent the day wandering around Maruyama koen in the beautiful Spring sunshine, looking at the freshly bloomed sakura as well as going to Hokkaido shrine. After a quick lunch stop at one of the street vendors, I walked to the Miyanomori Modern Art Museum where there is a permanent Jean-Claude and Christo exhibition then took the train back to Niseko.

Sakura at Maruyama koen.

More sakura.

And more.

The delicious grilled food at the street vendors in Maruyama Park. Yakisoba, corn and squid.

Jean-Claude and Christo exhibition.

Another artwork, the famous "Wrapped Coast". I studied this artwork for my HSC.

My favourite artwork from the exhibition.
